You
can accept payments from your customers, either as small
(e.g. nonrefundable) pre-payments that will validate reservations, or
you can simply accept complete payments online. ibookfishing doesn't charge
you or your customers absolutely anything for online payments. You
will, however, need to create a PayPal / Moneybookers / WorldPay / Authorize.net account and enter the
MB- or PayPal-registered email address in settings/online payments. PayPal
does charge a very small fee (
see their website for details) for each transaction. With
PayPal payments, your customers can pay with all major credit cards or
simply with their PayPal account.
Moneybookers is an alternative payment gateway. Other than the major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, EC and many more), Moneybookers supports domestic funding options in over 200 countries. See more at
at the moneybookers website.. Moneybookers offers very attractive commission fees, lower than most other payment options.
Once you enter your PayPal / Moneybookers address
into Site Settings (Online payments section), you should then go to each resource settings and
change 'Reservation approval' to OPTIONAL PAYMENT. In such case the bookings
will now be automatically confirmed by an online payment. Bookings
without payment will still await manual confirmation. Changing the approval to OBLIGATORY PAYMENT forces users to make an online payment. Without it the reservation is not valid.
Please note that you can also test the payments using PayPal's sandbox, that is, a test account where you don't pay with real money. You'll need to change the Payment processing site option to PayPal Sandbox to enable this. See PayPal's site for more details and make sure that your Sandbox test accounts have the Payment Review option Disabled. Otherwise your test payments will be always marked as pending.
In case of Moneybookers, you'll need to send them an email requesting a test account.
